Is Phoenix, Arizona farther than Forks, Washington?

I’m starting to get interested in Twilight by Stephanie Meyers even though I haven’t read it. I’m in this Twilight Club that is thinking of going to italy at first (but too expensive) then washington/phoenix (small chance, but there’s a possibility!) I think the shorter the distance the less money having to be fund raised… so, which is farther?

I don’t know for sure which one is further, but I know Phoneix is easier to get to. You have to say which part of Cali, cause nothern california is a whole lot closer to forks that southern california.
Forks is in the middle of nowhere, and I beleive their only tavern closed resontly. sometimes you can’t even get over there because of problems in the road.
